SE-HW is generally referred to as a modified SE-HB. Exhibits good mechanical properties up to 1800°F (982°C). Resistance to oxidation at high temperature above 1400°F (760°C) on long service of 500-1000 hours is not recommended.
 
Major use in aircraft engine components and equipment handling hydrochloric, sulfuric, acetic and phosphoric acids.
