SE-K500 (NO5500)

SECORP designation (UNS NO.)

Precipitation-hardenable version of SE-400 for increased strength and hardness due to alloying additions of aluminum and titanium. The age-hardening treatement approximately triples yield strength and doubles tensile strength.

Major Applications

 

Pump shafts, impellers, valve components. Springs, fasteners. Oil well packers, subsurface safety valves.
